International Egyptian Star Mina Massoud Visits EMPC and Praises its Amenities

          Today, Abdel Fattah El-Gibaly, EMPC Chairman of the Board and Ahmed Sami, Head of Egypt Film Commission have received the international star Mina Massoud during his visit to the city. El Gibaly welcomed Mina Massoud, describing him as one of the most prominent young Egyptian stars in the international cinema.

During the meeting, El Gibaly explained the important role of the Egyptian Media Production City (EMPC) in attracting international production companies to film their productions in Egypt, and the significant support it receives from concerned state authorities in this regard to place Egypt on the global cinema map.

In this context, Sami explained the role of Egypt Film Commission in providing all administrative and customs facilities for international cinema crews and casts wishing to film their productions in Egypt, pointing to the full coordination between EMPC and all the concerned state authorities to overcome all difficulties and obstacles; provide the best possible services to international film production companies at cost effective and competitive prices for filming international movies in Egypt. Moreover, he added that the commission has supervised the filming of more than 70 productions since its inception, representing various nationalities, and shot at various tourist and archaeological sites in Egypt.

Massoud expressed his happiness to visit EMPC, this great media edifice, with its capabilities that rival those of its counterparts worldwide. He stressed his constant keenness to show his belonging to his Egyptian origins, and to highlight his Egyptian cultural identity, which he is very proud of, as he was raised in a typical Egyptian family. He also grew up with his love for the Egyptian movies and the great Egyptian stars such as Ismail Yassin, Adel Imam, the late Nour El-Sherif, and many other stars.

Mina revealed his desire and great interest in working in Egypt to convey the image of Egyptian cinema to the world, especially since Egypt possesses all the capabilities and amenities, in addition to its promising rising acting generations and their ability to deal with modern technology and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. He emphasized his great keenness to show the true image of Egypt to international filmmakers, emphasizing Egypt stability and security.

Mina Massoud had an extensive tour around EMPC to see its artistic and technical amenities. He visited the Audiovisual Heritage Restoration Center, which preserves filmed treasures and protects them from deterioration. He also visited EMPC back lots and saw the current preparations taking place there to cater for the upcoming productions.
